Theodore Shannon, LPCC
Dr. Theodore Shannon has been with Central Ohio Counseling since 2011. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He enjoyed a diverse career in education prior to becoming a therapist including public schools, higher education, children’s psychiatric hospitals, and prisons. He spent 20 years in the College of Education at Ohio State as a faculty member and curriculum developer. He taught in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department at Columbus State for 8 years. He has also taught courses for the University of Dayton and Ohio University.
At COC, Dr. Shannon works primarily with unipolar, bipolar, and situational depression, anxiety issues, ADHD, grief, substance abuse, and education/career planning.
He earned his BA at Malone College and his MA and PhD at Ohio State. He received his MS in counseling from the University of Dayton. His internship and residency were both completed at the Maryhaven Recovery Center.
Dr. Shannon works with adults in person and via telehealth; he is pleased to accept new patients.
